Hi all, need some help, brought an engine mod for my d40 08 from Australia it plugs into fuel rail and boost control, I was told that is bad for the motor, is it OK to run or not?

It depends on what it is and does. If it's a control chip, they're not uncommon.
Just know that if you're pulling more horses out of the engine, you need to monitor EGTs so you don't blow it up.

It is a SW Diesel chip
They claim that it can do no harm and boost performance. I have no reason to doubt them.
