EGR mod - oil leaking from flange? - SOLVED

Hello guys I did the egr mod about a year now, and I am starting to see oil seeping through the flange where I did the blank off ( the side close to the top of the intake) is that normal?

My net plan is to do the oil catch cam mod.

You shouldn't be getting any oil residue from there. Did you use gasket cement when you re fitted the plate. You may need to seal it up. Check it's not coming from the inlet manifold hose from the intercooler to. A catch can stop that one.

The oil is probably just the residue blown through the intake from the pcv and is normal but if you didn't seal the plate with gasket goo it would eventually start seeping through the dry joint as Navmania suggested.
