Trying to fit my blanking plate but cant get the ******* 14mm nuts undone. Things are almost bloody fused on. Hit em with WD40 etc, wont budge.
Any ideas??

Manifold end mate! Easier end
I gave mine a solid wack with a hammer on the head of the bolt and that worked for me

Yeah might have to pull the battery out so i have more room to swing.

Only prob is, mine is an 06 D40. Coming on 7 years, they have had more time to corrode

Give them a good spray and leave overnight and do it again tomorrow keep spraying them they will eventualy crack

What i have done is, in between each end of the pipe, there is a flange / gasket. I slightly modified the blanking plate and slid it in there instead of either end. Same principle more or less? Just alot easier to get it in there

Well blocking off the middle of the pipe works! Car has a bit more low down pull. Definantly dont need as much throttle to get it up to speed. Runs a tad nicer too.

Bahahaha true! I usually wait till the works done then have a cold one. Maybe im all backwards on the situation! Thanks again guys the help is much appreciated
