Check engine light and dpf light came on on my 2011 d40. Ran scan which showed code p0438 which is for one of the dpf temp sensors. Tracked that down to a broken wire so repaired that and assumed all good.
DPF light still on, went for hot drive to clean but nothing happened. Did ECM reset inc disconnected battery went for nother drive, DPF did not regen and car wenr into limp mode. Disconnected battery again along with ecu reset but still in limp mode.
Ran scan again and no codes came up, I would have expected one for the dpf so a bit confused now.
Any suggestions as to where to from here?
I understand only a dealer can do a force dpf burn and as the nearest dealer is 120km away that is a last resort as a long drive pissing off other drivers in limp mode!
