Took the D40 in to get a front locker.

The guy fitting the locker noticed that (and I'm gonna look stupid coz I can't remember which one) one of the main bearings in the front diff was stuffed.

It was stuffed because when they (Mr Nissan), fitted the bearing, there was something caught inbetween the outer bearing race and the area where the bearing sat, making the bearing slightly out of round.

A new bearing was sourced and fitted.

I wasn't charged for the bearing or the extra labour taken to remove, source or fit the new bearing.

So there are good people out there. Thanks to the local ARB shop and the Nissan dealer.

All quotes are normally inclusive of the bearings as they tend to splinter when pressing them off.... That's what I've watched anyway.
