Hi,
got my navara on 27th dec 2013.
I noticed black smoke upon acceleration.
on 15th Jan I has my 1000km service. Oil and filters were changed by company's certified mechanics.
I immediately observed a drop in performance. before I got 120 km/hour @ 2500 rpm's.
After the service, speed of 95-98 km /hour @ 2500 rpm's.
tech said that it might be fuel. but I didn't fill up until 17th January.
he claimed that they used original filters.
Any thoughts?

Welcome to the forum!

Engine RPM won't give different speeds unless there's been a change in the drive ratio. Just like 2500rpm in first does a slow pace and 2500rpm in 5th does quite a quick pace, changing tyre size or diff ratios will also affect the speed the vehicle will be doing at a specific engine RPM.

It won't be fuel, or oil, or filters or anything like that. Is it possible that it's not getting into top gear?
