D40 Ratio

My d40 has stock ratios which are 3.5.

Is there other ratios available to bring 33 inch tyres to stock power?

My 06 rx manual had 3.538 ratios I changed them to 3.692 when i broke the back diff and it didn't make much differance to be honest and that was with 33,s on. it was only 2 extra teeth gain on the crownwheel.

Where did you get the pinion and gear set from? Thanks

I got them out of a 2010 stx d40 front and rear complete diffs, bought the back one for grand and exchanged the front one for free at a local wrecker. there are 5 differant factory ratios in the d40 and 3.692 is the highest geared. you can try and sourse 4.1 ratios from the states but its risky if they bolt up or not.
