D40 Hard lid leaking

The factory hard lid on my STX 550 leaks water in when it rains, hasn't been too bad but when it pissed down last week enough water came in to ruin a few boxes in the back, including about a grands worth of circuit breakers i'd just received which i'm far from happy about.
Is this normal or should nissan fix it? (at nissan next week for bit of plastic anyway).
Any pointers for me to look for to sort it out when nissan can't?

Mine doesn't leak so it should be possible to fix . I would be looking at seals and gaps around the section that leaked.
