G'day guys looking at buying a new D22 before they all run out just abit worried about reliability of engine heard some storeys of engine grenadeing . I know don't believe everything you read just after some info from some real owners . Many thanks Richard .

Grenading is a problem in the early3ltr zd30Nissan patrols, not a navara problem. You seem to be looking at a new d22 which has none of these "grenading" issues ,( the new d22s also have a 2.5 litre motor, the older ones have a 3ltr) Both seem to be reliable engines. My older 3ltr is close to 300000ks now.

Some have had bad luck with the yd25 I prefer the zd30 but I have no problems yet.
