D22 handbrake cable adjustment

Can anone help me. My handbrake cable is very tight across the leafs after it was raised. Can someone help with taking the tension of it.

Under your seat under the car there is a joiner in the cable.Undo the lock nut and loosen the cable.Your ratchet should be 8 clicks

D22 handbrake cable stretched over rear springs

I have the same issue and plan to solve it by lifting the two cable brackets on the rear axle by 75mm. i.e. adding a packer to each.

I don't like the idea of the handbrake being applied when the springs are compressed.
