D22 air conditioning problem

Hi all

Need help as always have a D22 3 litre 2005 model and love it. Have a problem with the air conditioning it switches it self on and off. Had an air conditioning bloke look at it and it ran icy cold for 30 mins no problems. It is full of gas and right temp. He suggested it could be a relay, on off switch or the compressor. Has anyone had similar problems and how did they fix it.

is the compressor it self turning off or just the blower fan in the cab? i thought i remember hearing somewhere that the 1234 switch can play up in these things causing dramas?

when is it switching off?
what is the heat setting on ?

the only time it switches off is when the cooler overheats. can't remember if it switches off if it gets to cold.
the weird thing with D22 setup is the aircon goes flat out and you turn the heater on to heat it up so its not to cold. down side is the aircon works flat out and can overheat the cooler at the front.

It appears the compressors switches off and on cold setting fan speed does not seem to matter
