d22 03 3ltr td knocking sound

Hi.

I just got back from o/s and my mate who was house sitting for me had been using my nav, well when I jumped in it to go to the shop yesterday I had thi knocking noise coming from the top of the engine when i started it up. Its quite loud. It gets faster as the revs do. I have taken a video which ill upload in a minute. Any ideas. Dont want to drive it till I can fix it.

Does it doit at idle get someone to rev it whilst u try and pin point where abouts coming from

Yeah it does do it idle I have put a link up above for vid if you want to check it out

Doesn't sound good, you might be best to take the rocker cover off and have a look at the valves and rockers.
