Compatible gearbox and transfer

How can I know if a second hand gearbox will fit my navara?
Hi. I have a 2014 navara 6 speed manual 2.5 diesel with 74k miles on the clock and its developed a noise from the gearbox and some vibration. Upon inspection there is metal filings in the transfer box oil. I'm a little bit disappointed with it.
I have been looking online and there appears to be plenty of second hand boxes for sale at reasonable prices.
Some adverts seem to be contradicting each other on year compatibility.
Any advice would be very helpful.

Don't change the gearbox. The transfer case is a separate item.

All models (petrol, 4cyl diesel and 6cyl diesel) used the same transfer case TX15B, from 2011-2014 according to the manual. I don't have later manuals for some reason, I should probably go hunt some down!
