Cold running

Just a question---when I first start the D22 in the morning and start to drive it it makes a rattle like sound as idrive through the gears ie engine or engine ancilliaries but when warmed up fine--no loss of power or any engine miss????

all diesels are noisy when cold
let it warm up for a few minutes b4 u drive off and try and keep the revs down till you see some temp on gauge

Well into the dealer this morning!! Had to book in as the Miss on the phone wouldn't let me talk to the service guy-----500kms on the clock and the service manager brings out a can of wd spray said that the fan belts loosen up and cause a rattling sound NO not that so he listens for awhile and finally hears the sound a hollow rattle ting ting sound seems as though it is the EGR valve nothing to worry about and he will look into it on the 1000km service!!
