Clicking sound from alternator.

Ok so as the title says theres a clicking sound which seems to be coming from the alternator kinda like a ball bearing has poped out only seems to happen after I've driver through a lot of water/mud. It seems to also like screech and pop back in after a few revs or some times a bit of drive, any ideas on what it could be?

Bearings on the pully I reckon.

Thanks Dave, it's only happening for a little bit on mine? Could it just be lose as it seems to stop after a little while
