Charger problems

Hey guys just curious with amps.


I've bought a twin port cigarette lighter USB charger both 2amps when I plug my ipad in and my phone it will cut out then start to charge again and will continue to do that over again. What's the go am I drawing to much current??

I'm betting that the unit's TOTAL rating is 2A, and the iPad draws 2.1A which is probably the limit for the circuitry in the device.

Personally I use separate adapters for each device - but I've got 3 of those Aldi multi-adapters installed in the cabin.

How did you mount it, got photos?

It's not mounted at all. It's plugged in to an outlet and sits across what used to be called the "Ashtray" but since we've entered the New Age and we don't smoke any more (and all we eat is seaweed, avocado and krill testicles) it's now a "loose change receptacle".
