First thing to check for the canopy is the sizes of the tub, I know the D22 tub size changed between models at one stage so it's viable the D40 did too. This info will be on the Nissan spec sheets from their website and one of us here can no doubt find the sizes off the 09 specs sheets. (I can't till tomorrow when I'm in the office but I do know where the 09 spec sheet is).
As for the front bars I believe they do fit (think the question has been asked here before so try searching for it), just be aware that the Spanish built trucks vary from the Thia built trucks so order your parts accordingly don't just order parts that say D40.

The ST is a Thai build and the chassis at the front is quite different to the Spanish-built STX (my STX's VIN starts with VSK, indicating Spain - the ST should start with M).
There's a few places putting gear out for the ST, give 'em a call.
Are you going to do any outback touring? If so, I'd suggest going a steel bar, because alloy really won't fend off too many roos at highway speed. If you just want to hold up some driving lights, go the alloy - it's much lighter. The steel bars are heavy enough to warrant a second look at the front springs - something that Nissan are doing with the recall in the '09 STXs that have enough weight on the front (bar + winch).
