6 months into D22 3.0 litre diesel ownership and happy with my purchase but can anyone tell me if I can fit cruise control and if I can modify central locking to keyless entry and any advice about how to

hey mate,

you can get a cruise control fitted. don't think you can get a genuine nissan kit, but theres aftermarket ones avail, not sure on price.

can also get keyless entry, i had an alarm system fitted a few years ago cost me about $350 all up and came with a remote.

My Navara D22 3 litre diesel has an intermittent problem. Sometimes requires longer cranking to get it started and engine light comes on. No other symptoms, runs like a dream. My mechanic cannot trace the fault. He is advised that there is an issue with Navara starter motors and injector pumps but cannot say definitively what the problem is. I recently had after market cruise control fitted by Autostrada Brisbane. Any ideas ??

i'd lean towards your starter motor mate, mine does the same thing. i changed the starting solenoid on the motor and that helped but i think i need new brushes and maybe new bearings.

try one thing next time its hard to start. get it running, and then quickly try to start it again, like engage the starter motor. i cant imagine this being the best for the starter or motor but for some reason mine would work for like another month without playing up after doing that.

Thanks Baitman. After much pain my problem was traced to the after market cruise control fitted by Autostrada. According to Nissan electronic cruise is not compatible with my 06 D22 so I have removed it and everything is back to normal. Thanks again.
