Hi all,
are Bridgestone 840 H/T tyres omnidirectional? As in rotation and facing (inside/outside)
I ask as some may remember me posting about handling issues on my Navarra D22 and musings over whether its the tyres. Any way having not driven the truck since Christmas I was out in it this evening in high winds and wet roads, lets just say I gave up pretty quick and headed home.
On examining the tyres I noticed something odd,
Passenger side front wheel, the tread drainage grooves run from front of side edge to the middle of the tyre towards the rear of the vehicle, a '/' type line. the 'hidden' tyre half nearest the vehicle body runs in the opposite direction. So when you look at the tyre head on from the front of the vehicle you see '\|\'
Passenger side rear runs '\' and front on you get '/|/'
Driver side front '\' and front on you get '/|/'
Driver side rear '/' and front on you get '\|\'
so the overall tyre grooves on the navara are
front (right hand drive UK spec)
'\|\'=='/|/'
'/|/'=='\|\'
Back
doesn't seem to make much sense to me. Any help appreciated.
Cheers
