Hi, long time watcher, first time registration/member.

Have been following you guys for some time.
Thanks for the EGR and vacuum hose reconfiguration mods/info which I have done.

Wanting to fit a catch can and have noted a plastic restrictor with a 8mm? hole in the hose from the rocker cover to the air hose pre turbo inlet.

What's it for? Can't find any info on it, sorry if it appears here somewhere.
Is it ok to run 16 mm hose to the Provent 200 and 19 mm back to the inlet?

Thanks in advance,Peter.

no idea what the restrictor is for.
possibly to limit the gas flow so the engine doesn't take a big gulp of egr all at once.

The restrictor is in the PCV pipe leading back to the air intake Tweake, so it wont have EGR in it. But I think the same principle applies, its there to try and stop too much gas/vapour travelling from the crankcase to the air intake and tries to limit the oil going back through your turbo/engine. If you have a filter inline I wouldnt worry about it. I even re-used the breather piper with the restrictor in it cos it was the right length when I put my provent 200 in.

the breather pipe has blowby through it, ie exhaust gases which is basically egr.

I removed the restrictor when i fitted my provent and have had no dramas.
