Boost

Just wondering I'm getting a turbo smart boost controller fitted to my car as I'm goin to be fitting a chip soon.. How much boost does a stock 2010 d40 come with.. And what would be a safe boost to turn up to just to get a bit better response without working turbo to hard...My rig has done 85000k? Cheers in advance.. Love this forum able to get clarification on things running threw my mind as I'm not very mechanical... Thanks

theres a few posts on it. by memory i think the turbo can only handle a small increase.
as long as you know that the boost controller goes on the boost sensor NOT the turbo,
and you will need to remove the ball bearing/spring and turn an expensive boost controller into a cheap one. i would just use a simple cheap bleed type.
