Boost for V9X v6

hi there to everyone I have just installed a boost gauge in my Navara STX 550 it has the V9X v6 turbo diesel in it at full boost I am getting around 24psi would this be about correct for this engine in my Navara d22 2006 I was getting around 16psi I know it a completely different engine but just don't want it to over boost

24psi isn't what I'd consider too high. The ECU will also report the boost pressure, you can always check that as well - these cars are a little sensitive to excessive boost (ask me how I know!) so if you do have too much boost the Check Engine Light will come on.

thanks Old Tony would that sort of pressure tell me that the turbo is in good condition that it is producing good boost pressure ?

It sounds like it's going well. If you suspect there's a problem, you could get someone to check it out - a turbo specialist would be able to take a look at it and tell you in seconds if it is at risk of imminent failure.
