My 2008 Navarra has been going well for 8 months since I put a new SCV, new turbo and new radiator. Today it all changed. Heading up the big hill (Blue Mountains Lapstone) it had a sort of screaming/whirring noise and lost power (not limp mode) and I saw large clouds of black smoke. I nursed it to the top and it seemed to sound OK (screaming noise gone) and it performed OK at 50% power, but with lots of black smoke if I put the foot down. There was a loud click like an electrical switch followed a short time later by a quieter click and this happened 4 or five times with no effect on performance, No warning lights on, temperature normal. Got it home and started it again, now huge white clouds of smoke. Starts easy and revs OK and sounds OK. Can't find a forum or thread with these symptoms!!!
