Been on the beach...

Hi all, I'm a newbie to this so any advice welcome.
Have just purchased 'The Investment' and on closer inspection my almost new (25 000km) D40 looks like ist been on the beach. Some of the undercarriage looks a bit rustier than just standard kind of surface rust...anybody got any advice on the best way to deal with this. There is nothing too extreme, but my thought are that it could probably could do with some attention early.

Pretty simple, go and get under body rust protection applied....

I get under my GU from time to time with a wire brush and tin of Rust conversion paint from Pheonix paints. I go on the beach regularly and put boats in and out of the water. Long as i do this from time to time and give it a good wash after being near the ocean it seems fine. Been doing it for 5 years now and mine looks no rustier than normal.

if you wanted a good fix, have the under carrage sand blasted and coated with either fisholine or kill rust black.
