Auto transmission service

Nav is stalling when cold & some time hard to start. Could it be that the transmission needs a service????

Actually - and I don't want to be a "one of those" - but that is also the symptoms of a worn timing chain...

How old is it, and how many KM?

I suppose it could, if the auto trans fluid wasn't right. Has the auto trans ever been serviced?

Do 130,000km, 2007 model . Only had that Navara for 20months & it was off the road for seven months. Don't misknow when the transmission was serviced last?

A transmission will not make it hard to start. Or cause it to stall at idle when not in gear.

I highlighted the important point.

A heavy oil in the transmission will affect the torque converter and could stall the car at idle, which is why I asked about the last service of the transmission, but if it's stalling in neutral then Outlaw is right - the transmission cannot be the culprit.
