Looks like I can possibly use the Patrol auto after all. D22's use FS5R30A trans with TX10A transfer.From my research all Patrols use RE4R03A auto with TX12A transfer, except the RD28/RB30 which has the same FS5R30A 5 speed as the D22, together with the TX12. Therefore, the two transfer cases must be interchangeable and a TX10A will bolt up to a Patrol auto putting the output on the correct side.
