Apexi turbo timer, ebay bought

Iv got a Apexi turbo timer that I got off ebay a few months ago and I just wanna see has anyone fitted one?
I pretty sure its a fake like about 80% off ebay so before I get it put in has anyone installed one and was it safe and did it work?

I bought one and got them yesterday - I test fit (not connected yet, I'm having issues) anyway I double sticky tape it just under the hazard button, and yes it is fake but for $50 can't go wrong with that.
