G'day all
I am looking at building a slide-on camper for the back of my D40. I currently have a tub on it though that will be gone and a tray put on.
The camper will be steel and aluminium with a rooftop on it, water, batteries and basically everything I need. So far I am looking at it being around 300kg dry weight and less than 10000 bucks to build. The cost includes everything from the materials, fridge, batteries, tent etc some of which I already have, just thought it would be good to keep a track of costs.
It will have the ability to be taken off the tray so I don't have to pack up camp to move, I am yet to design the slide on yet though i'm sure it will be awesome
Has anyone done anything like this? have any advice? or purchased a ready made one?
