Anyone know whats happening here - Sooty substance

Hi all,

I'm the first to admit I'm not that great under the hood so am hoping someone may be able to help identify what's happening here. I have noticed what feels like a sooty texture on the front of the engine as per pics. It feels sooty rather than oily but am not sure if that's because the oil has collected dirt.

Vehicle: 2010 D22 STR 2.5 litre Turbo Diesel

Looks like a minor leak that's allowing dust to collect there.

Nothing to worry about, just a wee oil weep collecting dust.

Keep an eye on it, unless the truck is under warranty, if so take it back to the dealer.
