Re my recent topic on coolant loss in my 3.0 Diesel.
The Radiator man left the pressure tester on when the motor had cooled and discovered that after two hours the motor would not start (he only turned it over about 4 times). he left it for two hours and it started okay.
He said that it was 'hydrauliced' and that the coolant was being expelled through the exhaust.
My question is could it be just a head gasket or do I go for a complete motor from the wreckers ($5000), or a reco motor with warranty ($5500).
The motor still starts and runs perfectly without overheating and I cannot see any water in the oil.
