Acceleration problems. Please help?

Hey guys,
I have a navara d22 StR 2006.
Have been out bush bashing and have noticed when going up hill the car flat spots and stops accelerating randomly. In all gears around 3000rpm.
The engine light popped up once(which I think had something to do with the throttle) and then I turned the car off and on and it didn't come up again.

does it do it on the flat at all?

first thing to do would be to replace fuel filter.
it would hurt to go check codes anyway to see if one is still stored.

Yeah it does. Not as much, seems to do it more going up hill.

unplug the neutral position switch on the gearbox. plenty of instruction on here about it, really common for them to play up.

Possible dodgy nuetral position switch also, unplug it.

Sounds like an NPS issue to me. Prove it by holding the gear lever to one side or the other, usually lets you see the problem.

Where is the NPS? Also do I just leave it unplugged?

Its on the drivers side of the gearbox, up high and towards the rear. Yeah just unplug it and see if that solves your problem. When unplugged the heat switch no longer brings the idle rpm up.http://www.navara.asia/showthread.php?t=8436
