ABS light on but no recorded faults

I have a 2013 D40 D/C with an abs light on. I have the torque app with elm 337 adapter and when I search for faults it says nothing, no faults found. I am sure it is a speed sensor but can't see any codes. Any ideas

I had problems with my abs,
after 12 weeks of search it turned out it was the ground cable of the abs / ecu .
this was located in the interior behind the heater motor.
long search. Can be a lot of other things, but also this...

Abs wire is my guess.
Either front - grey plug on the top side of the strut tower
Or rear, plug inside the chassis rail on both side, near inline with the wheel.

They are either dirty, dirty and wet
Or you've broken one off the very thin wires.
Run your eyes (and hands) over the plug and wiring

Thanks all, have an update, managed to find somebody with a decent diag tool, turn out I have a c1103 rhs wheel speed sensor error and a c1163 steering angle sensor error. I have replaced and tested all sensors, how do I test the wiring for the sensor, should 1 be 12v and other ground ??

Thanks for that, will check for broken wires, that is all it can be hopefully. Just not too sure what pins on the connector relate to rhs sensor but will check internet, cheers

For what its worth, my wife's Mazda CX5 was showing dash lights which indicated problems with the ABS. It drove terribly too with shudders aplenty and what seemed like a badly misbehaving gearbox. I started hunting down ABS issues including wheel sensors and their wiring.

Turns out the issue was the MAF. Bad or inaccurate air readings throw the ECU into a right spin which manifest in all sorts of weird and wonderful symptoms.

Replaced the MAF sensor and everything went back to normal straight away. Fuel economy significantly improved as well.

May or may not help you.

Had an ABS light on my 2012 D40 last week after a wheel alignment, turned out to be an ECU fuel cut-off error code, so an error between the engine management system and the ABS. Prior to the alignment it had 2 steering angle sensor errors due to the poor alignment, the fuel cut-off error appeared after the wheels and steering wheel/angle sensor were correctly aligned.
It cleared after a shut down and restart.
Probably not the same as yours, but an indication that an ABS light and /or steering angle sensor code isn't always always directly related to a fault with the ABS, or a faulty sensor.
I hope you get is sorted without too much trouble.

edit: the person who did the wheel alignment noted the error on the invoice but didn't give the actual error code, so I can't quote it unfortunately, and I don't know the specific steering angle sensor codes either

Thank you for this, interesting to know. Might not be the same but interesting, what is more interesting is I do have a C1163 steering angle sensor safe error code listed, so will investigate that more if I can't find a solution with sensor wiring

Interesting error as well, mine specifically give a sensor error so will start there and expand, cheers for the information though.

Tested sensor, all okay, test wiring from sensor to abs module, all okay, tested voltage and measure 12v. The only think it can be is the hub or abs ecu, how can I test the hubs

Is there a way to reset the SAS manually? I've heard of lock to lock sequences and zero point calibration with jumper pins in the obd plug. I have not been able to try and there are no labelled images of the d40 obd plug online

Just a final message. Found the issue, it was self inflicted. A sensor failed, so I replaced all of them, while I was at it I replaced a connector that yhe right front sensor plugs into and accidentally reversed the wires. Yes they are very polarity sensitive. Swapped the wires around and everything came back to life. Thank you for all the suggestions and help
