starting this as i dont think anyone has done a dual battery sytem like i have (well not that i can find) so i wanted to put another option out there, also some more info on the other stuff.
before i start just 1 question,i cant decide what deep cycle to get???i have read and read and read and its all just a blur now,so considering:
#its under the bonnet
#can only be 12inch no bigger,
#(my biggest worry)i want to be able to run the fridge for a good 24hrs without starting the car if i can.`
will i get this running time (fridge sits on average 3.5amps,nuthin else running of it atm) as AGM and Gel are out of the ? as its under the bonnet and normal deep cycles cant go below 50% and only charge to 75% of alternator.
the biggest i can find is 105ah,is there anything bigger i can use under the bonnet, like 140ah or more?????

NOW,my turn to help out (hopefully)
ill start with air box and work my way through the whole job.
took the old 1 out leaveing body brackets in (first photo)
cleaned and painted 1hz airbox (was filthy, nowonder car was at the wreckes lol. (2&3 photo)
cut the end of the body bracket that held the old air box.cut was where the dust is wiped away in first photo, its just before the bolt that holds it.(photo 4)
welded new airbox brackets on with mig (i cant weld for shit but they aint moveing haha) photo 5,6,7.
lined up and drilled hole in body bracket and car up near radiator and bolted it in.
conected the box to snorkel with straight 80mm ID silicone cut shorter.photo 8
extended turbo intake with 2" ID straight silicone and 2" OD stainless/s exhaust attachment from supercheap cut shorter to desired size.(photo 9,10).sorry dont have photo of the end product but after photo 10 you put the silicone straight on then put that over the turbo intake.
then i moved the primer, took it apart cut the excess sides of mounted on other side useing existing hole and custom brackest also useing exsisting holes, spaced out at the bottom with a few washers.photos 11,12,13 and 14
then got a supercheap large battery tray put it in top right corner lined it up and drilled required holes, useing the exsisting hole on the body bracket to postion it photo 15.and used washes to space the rest upto that hight of hole 15 to level it out, still might put a bracket on the tray on the corner closest to the ac pipeing as this is the weakest (least supported part) but still quet strong.leaveing that body bracket from the airbox in deffently gives it great support.used 2 b&s cable for battery and ABR sidewinder isolator and manager of ebay for 140 (last few photos of batt sytem)
gotta say that the airbox made a world of difference!love it and well worth the work.
hope this helps and i explained well enough, not to great with explaining, more doing haha.and hopefully someone can help with my battery question.
cheers Craig
