I just got a D22 with the engine swapped to a QD32. They seem to have cut the Bellhousing of the original Yd25 engine and put in a cut qd32 bellhousing to make it work. The problem is the measurements were not right making it not sit right. The Also seem to have drove the Trans without oil causing 3rd Gear synchro gears to be out.

There is also other issues like the suspension and needing front diff overhaul.

I am now considering getting another gearbox preferebably a 2WD QD32 trans and do away with the front diff. I am majorly thinking in terms of maintaince costs and upfront costs that will be quite high to still maintain the 4WD.

do you have pics of it?
afaik they use the same gearbox. you just have to use the qd32 bellhousing.

i would keep the 4wd. the difference in maintenance costs is almost nothing.

Makes sense. Allow me to come back with more pictures. Do you think its worth to rebuild the same gearbox? The problem is the bellhousing was more or less cut and welded in a messy mess. I am also having a problem with the synchroniser gear where 3rd keeps on grinding when engaging.

If i am to keep the existing system, I might either need to rebuild the existing gearbox and replace the Bellhousing. or maybe go for a ZD30 gearbox?
