i drive a navara d40 going to sand dunes at lancelin tomorrow at WA.
guy's what do use on the dunes is it 4hi or lo is it 1st 2nd or 3rd e.t.c, the dunes are large, have a look on you tube only been there a couple of times wasn't to happy with my gears speed e.t.c i'm prety new.

4H 2nd gear will get u most places if you let your tyres down to under 20 psi

I like to drive in Low range on the beach if the tide is up a bit, or on sand tracks, can't say for dunes cause we have none in QLD (that you can drive on) just gives me a better spread of gears.

had a brill day excellent went up with the club rockingham 4x4 club, bloody hot got wind burn ouch.

drove around the dunes trying on the flat lo range i like

4 hi 2nd gear is good got up most times bit of a struggle for the large dunes but for the really steep ones hi range 1st gear foot to the floor straight up Yee Ha, just have to watch going over other side god damn steep sometimes.
