Hi guys,

I have seen a few people ask the question in regards to the diesel express chip, not only on this forum, so I decided to buy one and get the car dyno tested. I don't have the original dyno without the chip although the car is meant to be 147kw at the flywheel I'm guessing? And 450nm. We plugged the chip in, set the box to "5" out of 8 (least amount of gain from 1 and most amount to 8) and achieved 558nm. The car was not hooked up to check the rpm rev range. After that run we set the chip box to "8" and achieved 639nm and 123.4kw at the wheels. I have attached a photo of the printout. I have noticed a significant power gain especially in 2nd gear and 6th gear at 100km. Fuel is ever so slightly higher at 0.1 - 0.3 litres more per 100km

Hope this will make towing my 2.8ton boat easier!

More fuel = more power---- but at what cost to engine longivity?
Are you monitoring your egt's

Cheers

I have just dyno'd my D22 YD25 again to complete some tuning, air/fuel ratios was the governing factor for my ute, as I don't want to destroy to motor. Good power was made with 20:1 AFR and some extra boost, EGT's were noted in standard form and we tried to keep them similar with the tune.
Pre the second Dyno session the EGT's were climbing too quickly for my liking due to being too rich and not enough boost.
