Hi everyone,

I have a 2009 R51 YD25 auto / diesel.

194,000km

It was remapped approx 6 years ago, EGR written out, and dpf cored.

It has a double row timing chain and heater hose upgrade.

It starts easily, runs sweet and all seems good. No rattles or strange noises.

Except the fuel consumption has suddenly jumped from 11LPHK to 13.7, even with gentle driving.

No warning lights and as of yesterday, no codes.

Mechanic couldn't read injector values because I think you need Nissan's proprietary tool??

I'm wondering if it might be the dpf sensors.... they'd still be in place so ECU believes the dpf is still there, yeah?

Could they be faulty and cause a richer mix, even though I have no warning lights or codes??

Does Auggie still sell them?

The mechanic has also noticed white oxidation of coolant on the front right corner of the head, and tells me this is where the YD25 commonly blows the head gasket.

I'm expecting a quote of $6k plus to do head gasket and injectors. I'm assuming it'd make best sense to replace injectors while head is off?

Got to decide if it's worth it, or even if this is the best course of action......

Advice welcomed.

Cheers
