So l went under the slug to replace a flogged out upper shock mount and l noticed that the hole it goes through is like two holes together looking like a figure 8, is this correct?

So my d22 wheel is perishing so I figured the best way forward for me would be putting a d40/patrol/xtrail wheel in with the radio controls, does anyone know if the fitment is the same across the platforms? I would imagine it would just come down to splines

Didn't change anything, though i noticed the bolt holding the actuator bracket is missing and the bracket is sitting an inch or so away from the turbo housing, that might do it i think.

true that, next day off i will pull the turbo and dump i guess and re mount them. egr pipe seems fine for leaks.

didn't actually remove turbo to do it, i just popped the old dump off and dropped it out the bottom, a poor seal from the turbo to the dump wouldn't affect boost would it?

So its all fixed, it turns out that the chinese turbo i bought was overboosting (20lb)because of the actuator so we swapped to the oem actuator giving me 16lb boost, however at 16lb the boost sensor was giving a voltage reading over spec and the ecu was cutting fuel to the motor. 3 washers to...

I'm just glad to have it back on the road after 9 months, its still 6kw down but i can live with that

Had it all hooked up on a 4 wheel dyno at a deisel fuel injection specialist to get that reading, i trusted their geat.

3 washers between the mounting plate on one side had it all fixed up and running 15.8lb, at 16lb the ecu cuts fuel to the motor for some reason but i can live with slightly lower

I'm now running my oem actuator but still had to shim it to keep boost down i can onlu assume its something to do with the mounting position of the turbo

Just a side note, i recently fitted a cheap chinese turbo and it caused all sorts of problems, mostly to do with the actuator, watch your boost levels, mine were at 20lb at WOT
