Plastidip. No need take them off, just mask around & use a blunt toothpick on overspray. Did mine 4 years ago and still good as. Comes out matt, I didn't bother with clear.

Clutch pedal switch or neutral gearbox switch. If your lucky its the clutch switch.

Had the same issue and replaced the primer bulb. That sorted mine.

Changed to genuine filter from ryco and start up from cold has zero rattle. Sounds like a hot start. Genuine only from now on. Bummer.

For what it's worth I have the ARB sahara bar with detachable hoop & rubber over riders removed. Effectively what you'd be looking at. Legal because ARB have tested them like that I guess.

And don't forget the vac hoses at the vac pump under the oil filter There's a short length there that has a very hard life. If it bleeds vacuum- no boost.

Turbo side of engine about halfway down the block. Been seen with the wheel arch cover removed. Looked a bugger so I paid for it to be done with a coolant flush. Used the tridon high flow thermostat and now runs cooler. Was averaging 92-3 on a scanguage now back to averaging 88-90. Very happy...
