    Proportional Braking Valve adjustment

Adjust that bracket until the spring is stretched. Did mine so long ago I forgot I'd done it. No ill effects just better balanced braking and longer life on front pads and rotors.

    Miss fire on hot start

If it doesn't stall it clears within 30 secs. If you can count the cylinders misfiring maybe an injector. Next time it does it try and remember how many cranks it took to start. If less than 3 maybe similar thing to what I have seen.

    Miss fire on hot start

Sounds odd but.... Remember reading in the manual that the engine has to crank 3 times for ECU to get proper start. I have had an occasional problem with it kicking over quickly then running like a hairy goat. Just a thought.

    D40 pre flter delete

With the airbox out it wasn't that hard. I used almost a roll of 25mm and just kept wrapping till I thought it was done. Easier to get airbox out with the pre filter cut off. Has made a big difference, more than I thought it would. Cost bugger all , just fiddly. On a warm day the tape is softer...

Silicone rescue tape used on snorkel outlet. Lots of wraps and it sets like its solid.

    D40 pre flter delete

Struggle with pics on here. There's a pic in my gallery. Had this setup for ages and it hasn't worked loose and is air tight. Sounds awesome too.

Used the $15 flexible air intake hose from autopro 3" joined it to snorkel outlet with silicone rescue tape. Tight fit but it works a treat. Will see if I can get a pic on here.

Oil leak after oil change pics inc.

Lucky you've got a tube. Mine will run all over the block if you don't catch it.

    d40 maximum boost

Perhaps look at more air in too. Found a huge difference with airbox mod- plumbing air from snorkel straight to airbox with unifilter fitted. Sounds cool too. Needs good air in for exhaust to benefit.

As above. Part no is listed on here too somewhere.

    265/65/16 and fuel economy

After 8 years and 3 different tyre sizes have found 265/70/16 to be the best compromise yet for fuel economy/clearance. I do a lot of road K's and these give me better than 9l/100km economy and still capable off road. If I was rock crawling more often I'd still want the 265/75/16 MTZ's but for...

    Engine Oils?

Is HPR 5W-40 passed for diesel? Can't find diesel referenced anywhere. Have been using Enviro+ for ages. Good stuff.

    aftermarket upper control arms d40

Mine hit when I installed them so I trimmed the bucket a little but once aligned they had heaps of room and I wouldn't have needed trimming at all. Speaking of alignment I got mine set up originally by Wholesale suspension in Penrith as they do the Superpro ones but moved to Perth and found no...

    Clutch Replacement (SMF or DMF)

No probs with cold gear changes although I do notice the change down to 5th when colder but nothing really. Only go next Vis up 95 instead of 85 I think it is.

    Clutch Replacement (SMF or DMF)

Xteem SMF 100000+ km no worries. Went up to 95 vis oil and quieter than ever. Was some rollover noise previously but nothing scary.

    Turbo Timers

Can't imagine why you'd need one. As above idle 30 secs job done.

    Window switch

As above. Take your time and it works great. Contact get a layer of build up on them. Careful cleaning and contact spray and all good. Found a good description on one of the UK forums. Don't lose the spring clip and watch which direction it comes off. will fit both but works only one.
