I fired her up today drove for over an hour all good I just hate unexpected surprises.

I was sitting idling this afternoon for about 5 mins when my D40 just shut down I restarted it and noticed the red oil light flashing then I seen the Oil Lo on above mileage. I restarted it several times but it shut down each time. Checked the oil and it seems fine. I have read a little on here...

Thanks Ill look at those things the type of oil Im not sure of. But the rest I can do will try it. Occassionally it isnt too bad after it warms up but then goes back to the notchy feeling. I appreciate the reply. Thanks tweak'e:

I have a 2008 D40 Spainish built and it is very notchy to go into gear at times especially 1st gear. I have had a new clutch installed but it still the same. I was wondering if it could be the plastic dome thing on the end of gear stich that moves selectors. No idea has anyone else had the same...

Does anyone know if its possible to fit a dual exhaust on a D40 or dual tail pipes atleast. Would there be issues with sensors and stuff. I know these are trivial questions but im just asking to see what you think. Thanks.

Trivial but I am curious as to whether or not the D40 came out with the rubber strips on the roof where the roof racks go in down each side they just look unfinished. Or does anyone know what you can put in there to look better. Thanks again.

Just wondering what other seats can you fit into a 2008 D40. That fits, I heard BA BF falcon seats go in. If so how much trouble to put them in. Do the tracks fit or Im guessing you need to modify them. Thanks.

I have heard of folks putting in BA Falcon front seats in their D40. Are they able to use the original tracks?? Also has anyone heard of fitting any other type of front seats in one. Like a Golf or commodore something like that. Thanks.

This is what I have plain and simple but I think takes the plain look of her. Nothing fancy..

So far the silicon hoses I found are actually cheaper than OEM again this is why I ask as I cant afford a break down and this is why I do things before I really need to sometimes not needed but then I have the knowledge they are done and I just enjoy driving. But thanks for all info.....To all

Thanks I have replaced both of them about 12 mths ago still no change I have done the three switches on the gearbox. As I said in the end I took it to a auto electrician and apparently it was broken wires but I dont know what ones but it works now .

Great thanks the reason being a couple of my mates have D40 and recently the one under the fuel filter blew out and they done the head and cost them a fortune, I just thought they have been on there for 14 years already and expanding and contracting with the heat daily like all things they must...

Just wondering what you good folk think on which is best coolant hoses to put on I want to replace all on my D40 Spanish built diesel but not sure which is better either silicone or OME coolant hoses. If you choose silicone anyone know where you can get them reasonably priced for the lot of them...
