    Bonnet strut upgrade

Oh I'd still keep the "post" lol I've had one come down before! Turned away to get something and slam! Nearly got me! Saved a finger and skull, just! Got me good, scared the ***** out of me! Lol.. one minutes it's all quiet and bang! I think I did a little skip and jump too ;) That was...

D22 Hood gas struts, I can't find much!

I've seen a few other makes of cars that have it set up like this.. Does anyone know if struts have an up a down placement? Ram top or bottom! It shouldn't matter should it? Thoughts?

And use a right angle mount on the fire wall both side! The one on the passenger side will sit a little higher, it "should" fit over the top of the filter.. should! With the forward mount tucked up like that it should miss that and the battery - terminal on the drivers side- what's another...

D22 Hood gas struts, I can't find much!

You could use one bracket that came with it! I'll see if I can make/buy one and drill the mounting hole closer to the hood... I was thinking of nutcert and screwing a strut Pin directly into the hood,,, but,,,,, considering how many times I open that thing- I don't think they'd last! ;) thoughts?

Lol,,I could do that! And i guess I'll have to do that! ;) Yeah they need brackets.. I'm glad I couldn't get them to work as they were.. They sat right where I lean to work on it ;) What do you think about this set up? Keeps them out of the way- but will they hold?

D22 Hood gas struts, I can't find much!

As the title reads, some how I got the idea of doing this from someone on utube! They're a good kit, a little expensive but they sit "to me" in a crapy position! There's nothing out there for the D22! Anyone know of anything? I'm thinking of making up some mounting brackets and fitting a...

    At wits end!!

Buy a multi metre and read the manual.. it will show you how to check sensors and check for continuity ... $20 superbleep multi meter and you're away! Once you read the manual you'll see it can be multiple issues that can throw one code, that code may lead you to a sensor but it may be another...

    Steel snorkel

Just go the plastic! The wollopers are ALL over metal snorkels atm, plus they're heavy and useless for air flow! Also, will your insurance cover them! Pinch weld is not a "folded edge" on a cut section of panel and is deemed as unroadworthy! Be careful with insurance companies! Just because it...

Using a massive bolt to stop drag link flex and stop wandering on the d22.....?

Lol, yeah I forget to look at the dates of posts... I get carried away when I'm looking for info! Got mine fitted, all good, didn't even have to shim the steering box! A Little win!!! Steering box needed adjustment though, nearly 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn and I think I could go another 1/8 ! Lol...

300000k+ front end service, H.D Drag Link set up, Lower Control Arms- Ball Joints, Bushing replacement. Sway bar bush and link kit. Wheel Bearing R/R,

Howdy bloke, yeah I was confused too and found out, the lower control arms only come with the forward inner bush and ball joints! The rear inner bush that goes into the chassis is separate! for some reason? One mechanic i spoke too said the chassis one doesn't wear as much as the front, but I...

    Control arm bushings removal

A section of "all thread", some heavy steel washers and sockets will do the same thing.. planning on that for the chassis bush removal for the L.C.A installation more worried about splitting the ball joint and kingpin.
