It’s rectangular so I can’t give you the diameter. But the measurements are 210mm high 440mm wide. Cheers

    New to diesels...need help!!

I think you have an electrical problem, perhaps dirty earths in the engine bay or at the ecu itself even that may of failed. It’s a process of elimination to find the simple problem. All the best!.

    Fraser island questions

This legislation regarding your car size must of come in recently. Last time I was there you just paid extra for the trailer only. I guess “large” would mean a F truck or equivalent. Enjoy your time over there!.

    Cheap Tyres

The most recent review on those tyres suggests they were half worn after only 8000kms. :hmmmm2:

    Engine shudder/rattle

Jase, when you find out report back. Shudder/rattle are so hard to differentiate as to the cause. I’d be surprised if it’s fireing incorrectly and causing this shudder.

    Engine shudder/rattle

Me too that shudder is annoying when it’s on the way out. Broken engine mounts is very rare and normally happens after you do lots of heavy recoveries.

    Engine shudder/rattle

Definitely a clutch related issue or possibly a loose/broken engine mount.

    Headlight Restoration

Excellent thanks gents I shall look into it. The sandpaper trick sounds good Eric, toothpaste as well Tony how unusual but it’s abrasive so I see how it will work. Another forum suggests valve grinding paste mixed with shaving cream. I’ll try something this weekend before I get slapped with an...

    Headlight Restoration

My headlights have glazed badly to the point of being illegal. Rather than rob a bank to buy replacements I thought of looking at these kits. Presumably it’s a cutting compound with a polish to finish it off. Alas I have no experience with them nor has anyone I know. Has anyone here used these...

What mileage are you getting from your tyres?

Oddly many mechanics cannot align a car properly and the tyres wear prematurely. Tony has done very well indeed, the actual rubber must be getting very hard by now.

D22 manual to electric side mirrors

Ben, it can be done if you are handy with a multi meter but it will take time and involve remote wireing aside from what “may” be in the trim and wireing harness. The fuse box is no good and this project will have to bypass it and be manually done.

    Throttle controllers

I don’t believe in them myself I think you are better off increasing the overall response of the torque curve and overall horsepower when you sink the boot in rather than a device that makes it “appear” more satisfying when you give it some. But hopefully someone that’s fitted it can give their...

    Chip it Diesel Chip Issue

There is a plug available to bypass the chip and restore to factory values. I’d immediately suspect a wireing problem caused by snagging or dirty/ loose connections given your spaghetti description. The connections are just a snap lock plastic job. Remove and number each connector then clean...

D22 manual to electric side mirrors

Ben, at a guess it would take two electric motors to power the mirrors. The motors would have the polarity reversed to go back and forward. I’d say it could be done but would be lots of mucking around.
