    EGR Mod on my V9X

Yep certainly can turn EGR off with a ECU tune. No Active DPF on the V6 like the earlier 126kw YD25. As i understand it they do have this large "passive" combo cat/dpf device. Works kinda like a normal dpf but the ecu does not control or monitor it. It doesn't fill up and burn off like the...

    Intercooler Pipe Leaking Oil

Spot on old Tony. This hose isn't at fault if some oil is weeping out of it. The common name for the oily gas that's heading back in the intake side of the engine is blowby. Pretty normal among modern turbo diesels. Used to associate it with older engines with worn out rings but modern high...

    Tuned D40 - Chewing fuel + others..

According to everything from Nissan I've read on the D40 the O2 sensor is only there as part of the DPF regeneration system. It does nothing else. Hence why the YD25 type 2 engine aka DPF fitted is the only YD25 with a A/F Ratio sensor. If not happy with the tune get the tuner to put the stock...

    D40 ECU Re-map

Glad to here i was able to solve your smoke puffing issue Mal. Looking forward to some more feedback. If you want some more grunt there's no reason why we can't try a more aggressive tune. The one you've got now would be on par with a Decent chip in performance. Do the hot pipe swap if you like...

    Tall skinny tyres

235 85 R16 is very common might be able to get one similar with the 17 these days. I'll check. Without changing rims your probably looking at something like a 255 70 16. I'm looking at Dueler D697's which have a good selection of tyre sizes to choose from.

Are you guys running CAT's in your exhaust systems out of interest?

DPF burn off - does it smell?

Hello Guys and Girls Yes sometimes you can smell them. DPF's that are working really efficiently tend not to give you any clue of their existence. If it smelly or using a heap of diesel then it's likely the things partially blocked and the ECU is struggling to clear it and it's likely it will...

    133rwkw 2013 nav d40 st

Haha yeah you do get some dreamers. 864nm from a D22 is a pretty good example. However 130ish rwkw from a 2010+ D40 is nothing outrageous.

    D40 ECU Re-map

Hi Folks The RRP cost of a tune on a D40 is $1399. However i'm trying to get some runs on the board here with forum members so if your interested in being one of the first from the forum to get yours done i'll do a deal. Even at $1399 its cheaper than one of the good chips and it's all done...

    133rwkw 2013 nav d40 st

The 140Kw engine runs a completely different cylinder head than the earlier ones. It also runs a high max fuel pressure standard. It uses Electric turbo control and not the crude vacuum setup on the older ones. There are changes too. It runs 15:1 compression ratio to the 16.5:1 of the earlier...

    133rwkw 2013 nav d40 st

Not sure on numbers but after having both as my personal cars in identical trim i can tell you the 140 motor poops all over the earlier ones. With the basic mods he had before the chip i don't have any problems believing 113rwkw. It's also better one fuel suing about 11lph as opposed to 13lph.

    D40 ECU Re-map

Hi Folks And hello again Mal. Good to hear your DPF sensors are still performing as i intended. Yes you can have your ECU remapped. I've got the gear to do it and have already done the silver STX you would have seen when you came to my dad's shop to get you sensors recalibrated. I do remember...
