Upgrade the original halogen driving lights to LED what could be simpler

haha.. the stand-up forkifts. The last one I drove was LPG powered by a little Nissan 4 cyl, I don't know what voodoo they did to that engine but it was indestructible.

    Advice Needed

Might be a bit hard to do it on my 82v' machine :) In all honesty, I'm 100% converted, I don't think I'll go back to a petrol mower any time soon. I had a Honda powered mower and the Electric one doesn't bog down anywhere near as bad as any of the petrol's I've used. (Then again, I'm not...

    Advice Needed

For what it's worth I'll change the SCV and re-tighten the belt. Alternator was changed by the previous owner at 207k and it's now at 253k, this was changed by Nissan as well, not aftermarket. As for fuel doctor, been a big fan of that stuff for 65+ years. use it on every 2nd tank for both cars.

hmm 14.5 you say, I'll need to check again since the belt change, prior I was sitting at 14.1 / 14.2

USA spec Frontier YD25 engine swap

There is a guy I've been watching on YT doing that exact same conversion

Intercooler upgrade - is it worth it?

When it comes to a diesel and intercoolers, yes. Upgrades to a bigger cooler to provide cooler intake temps make Diesels a happy Camper. Remember, petrol engines have the fuel itself to help cool the cylinders, diesel doesn't help at all.

Headlight upgrade for 2015 thai d40

I changed my globes to a set of LED's. Now I have the SFS in front of me as I drive. Those Angel eye ones you speak of (personally) look tacky.

    Advice Needed

That's what's throwing me off, Alt checking out fine, battery is 6 months old (did it with the old batt as well) and changed the belts in the last few months as well. Like I was saying, it definitely does the surge of revs when it happens, it's not all the time, happens sporadically

    Electrical Gremlins

To me that sounds like your ignition barrel.

    Advice Needed

The engine is definitely hunting. On idle it revs up and down like a constant surge, this is when the lights are also surging on the dash at the same time. Now I need to figure out if the 13 model VSK has the short or the long SCV as always there are different types!

USA spec Frontier YD25 engine swap

I'd kill to swap my YD25 for the 4.0L V6, or better yet the Titan V8. Going to the YD25 sounds like a giant leap backwards for me.. I'm currently pondering a LS1 swap when I can find the time.

    Advice Needed

Mine does the same, I thought it was the battery - Nope, I checked the alternator - all fine, belts? only 5000k's old. When I stop at lights, the dash lights all surge and pulse with the revs. @Old.Tony - is this classic SCV?

Upgrade the original halogen driving lights to LED what could be simpler

Where there is a will there is a way, I've perm disabled start stop on my last 3 cars.. Mazda was the easiest, all I had to do was disconnect the Bonnet switch telling the car the bonnet is open... The other cars, I used Carista and the ODB2 dongle to disable it from my phone.

Upgrade the original halogen driving lights to LED what could be simpler

I've been tinkering between HID's and LED's for a bit now, HID's are more trouble than they are worth and I've ended up having nothing but issues. Apart from being a bit slow to warm up they don't have great longevity and nor are they cheap to replace. HID's HATE being turned on and off...

Upgrade the original halogen driving lights to LED what could be simpler

I got my nudge bar from Ebay, I think it was the Bosco brand and really cheap. - this is the one: cost me $250 Mine is a VSK, but I find that generally it's easier to find MNT stuff...

Upgrade the original halogen driving lights to LED what could be simpler

You can see into the future with the LED bulbs vs the Halogens. Was driving through a bush part just last night with no streetlights, the cars in front of me looked like they were lighting up the road using a Bic lighter and my Navara looked like I had stadium lighting in front of me.

Upgrade the original halogen driving lights to LED what could be simpler

Mine have been kicking for a while now and definitely super bright. I've aimed my headlights as far down as possible to not be a nuisance to oncoming traffic. As for High-Beams, yep, pretty much irrelevant with the LED globes. My ST didn't have fogs, so I installed my own housings and put...

Upgrade the original halogen driving lights to LED what could be simpler

Shouldn't draw as much as Halogens though? then again, they are pushing these LEDs to their absolute limit to get the lumens from them

Upgrade the original halogen driving lights to LED what could be simpler

Flip the globe around. Unlike Halogens the LED's are polarity sensitive. Majority will only work if the +/- are correct. I replaced my Parkers, Reverse Lights, Head lights, Fog lights, License plate lights and interior lights all with LED. Didn't do brake / tail lights as they are kinda...
