hmm have you checked for exhaust leaks or have done an exhaust system? That noise is somewhat normal and is definitely from the turbo. When I say somewhat I mean it shouldn't be that loud with a stock exhaust setup. I purposely did an exhaust mod to amplify that noise :)

Common thing that will happen to all cars these days. The seal is cracked somewhere on the housing and allowing condensation to build up. You can try and silicone the whole unit up around the edges and hope for the best, or better yet just get a new one from ebay etc.

Correct on assuring you buy the R variant, I recently did my clockspring as well. Clearing the airbag code wasn't too hard, I did the key / ignition reset dance and worked a treat.

other way around, diesel doesn't burn in a petrol car as it won't ignite. I run 50ml of 2 stroke in my diesel anyways.. it reduces my injector clatter massively. Here's a fun clip

Some cars (mainly Honda for instance) have a single bolt that holds the disc tight. 99% of my other cars have all had a free floating disc. as @Scott52 has called out, the wheel holds the disc tight.
