Thermostat first and see how it goes. Easy fix, as far as the fan clutch goes if you can't stop it turning then it is working, I haven't looked at mine when it stops but it is movable with effort. And I don't know if they can be taken apart. If it is the clutch then have a look at the wreckers.

I went to adjust my belts today and who the hell tightens the bottom mounting bolt on the alternator so frigging tight. It is factory as I can see the paint on the rear nut and thread. is there a knack to this as I could not loosen the bolt. Apart from not having any room as well, what a PIA.

Put a bottle of injector cleaner through first then move from there. Or Molly Diesel purge. Bit of a job to set up but works. I did mine when I first got it. and it quietened a lot of the noise down.

You will have to put in a resistor between the speedo and the lead to the to the cruise control. He said that some times that happens and then just fit the resistor. I didn't have to I think it is a 30k resistor, but best to ask them. Jaycar will have them in stock
