    P0335 CPS

Another question would that Crank Position Sensor error stop the Turbo kicking.? Also the CPS was an OEM not aftermarket after all, maybe just a bad sensor, now if I take it out and it is covered in crap is that another issue, This was a new clutch on rebuild as well so maybe just dust from...

    P0335 CPS

Went out this morning and no power, turbo no kicking, so pulled over and had a look and I couldn't see anything major, got back in car started and drove like normal, turbo was working then Engine check light. Got home and it shows this code. Erased the code and went for another drive 100m and...

    Towing capacity

I am looking at a caravan 18ft 2002 Norseman eventyer. Am I able to tow safely? I looked at the compliance plate but it was hard to make out the numbers. The caravan has electric brakes so have to get the controller for them as well. D22 YD25 Car is rated to 2800kg braked

    new engine

YD25.com do replacement exchange engines with dual row timing chains for what you would pay for a second hand motor. I paid $8.4 and got 1300 back after sending the motor back to them. It's a bit of a process as you need to send them your timing cover with bolts and fuel pump as per their...

For the above post "Hello, I have installed a radio with a rear camera for 2 years, everything worked fine until yesterday, the front and rear position lights on the driver's side do not work, the dashboard lights do not work now, the speedometer and rev counter are off. greetings" Check your...

    Pulling YD25 out of 2007 D40

Been there done that. Same motor but a D22. 1 Bolt opposite to the rest on the bell housing above the starter motor. The MT can stay in but you need to drop it to access the 2bolts at 11 and 2. A loooong extension and swivel will get them with a lot of work.

Dash lights off after radio installation

As old tony said. They use a common earth which is down in the foot well on the drivers side. The radio should come with an earth wire just mount it to the metal radio mount and jobs done. Mine was blowing dash/radio fuses all the time till I changed the earth point. Might be worth your...

    Insane rattle noise

YD25.com sells the dual roll chain kit YD25 Duplex Timing Chain Conversion Kit. About $1400 by memory, but you replace the weakest link in the whole setup. The bottom chain which is converted to a dual row system.

    Insane rattle noise

Take all the belts off and start the engine. That will get rid of the belts as a cause. As old tony said get a stethoscope, long screwdriver and listen to the timing cover, if it is chains you will hear them. I can tell you now it is better to safe that go through what I had to.

    Engine failure

Would I do it again, Not in a fit, too old for this crap. But it is over with now. I am running 5w30 Synthetic in the engine, I think it is a little bit too thin especially in this weather we are having. So after 1000ks I will update to 10w40 synthetic. Swap out the filter and then every...

    Engine failure

Started the car this morning and what a noise, belts slipping, so adjusted the belts to a tighter tension and all good now. Belts were new so have stretched a bit since I've done 300ks. The long 14mm ring spanner is a recommended item for the tool box. I bought a set of AliExpress for 60 bucks...

    D22 air conditioning resistor

Just replaced mine as well. What a utter PITA to get to the back screw. Decided to leave it out just in case. Mine was just corroded so age was the big issue, probably the original.

    Engine failure

Okay crap mechanical/memory skills. Didn't tighten the alternator cable retaining bolt. Readjusted the clutch pedal height, and so far all good. I got a video of the lights flickering this morning, and thought not belts, bad earth? loose connection? Yeah gave myself an uppercut.

    Engine failure

It done it again today so yeah belts I think. I tried to find the deflection but couldn't in the manual but on a video it says 5mm either way. So yeah
