    2006 D22 ZD30 Engine Shutting Down

Not sure about the snap on reader, the ZD30 will require a Nissan consult protocol which you can try and look for if it doesn't pick anything up. You can also find the fault code with a flashing light method that is listed on here somewhere if you try a search. Someone may know where it is and...

    D22 zd30 no start

If the disconnected CAS was picked up by the mechanic then he was probably using the correct consult scan tool (rather than OBD2). So you had no fault or check engine light before calling in the mechanics? Most of the pump issues do come with a fault code but as Tweake said they can just die so...

    D22 Haynes manual advise

Yeah, it is a pain in the arse trying to find the right file. Using Adobe I have found makes the links on the menu work, otherwise can be tedious going back and forth 😞 But a great resource non the less 👍

indicators cutting power to the dashboard

The clockspring usually shows up as intermittent problems when turning one way or the other. Try turning the wheel full lock in each direction and change from left to right indicator to see if there is any difference. Otherwise it may be an earth or the indicator relay. Does it happen if you put...

Haha, yep my wife got the last "new car". I leased then bought my D22 15 years ago before I even met her. I think she has had half a dozen cars since then. It's economical, is a Ute and has AC so still suits me. As long as you don't have kids or regular passengers in the back seats the D22 is...

indicators cutting power to the dashboard

Maybe clockspring? Any difference when actually turning the steering wheel? Otherwise perhaps a bad earth. Did the previous owner put in a new stereo or something? Did you notice anything on the test drive? Does it happen every time you drive? By the way, stay with the forum when you get it...

Gday mate. The newer Navs had a 2.5l (YD25). The common rail ZD30 was in the Patrol and I haven't heard of one being bunged into a Navara before, though I have wondered 🤔 If it is the injector pump then you are looking at around 4.5k for a regular VP44 ZD30. Probably less for a common rail as...

    D22 Haynes manual advise

Don't think there is too much difference overall but mounting positions for engine mounts and such will probably be different. There was a thread on here a while ago that had a link to the electronic factory manual in pdf

    Should I buy??

My D22 has served me well with the ZD30 and with a remap has more grunt than new by far. It's old now(2005 and 360k) but still in good nick. Economical diesel with AC, all I need. BUT not a great deal of leg room in the back. Having said that, my step son(6"4') has bought one now, and he spent...

    04 ZD30 central locking

From factory the central locking worked only from the key in the drivers door lock unlocking the other doors. I had an alarm fitted to mine at the dealership which included a remote option. If no immobiliser is fitted then a remote unluck may be easy enough to sort but I believe that only the...
