Ok. Couldnt get it to overheat ( double demerits and all ) but at normal running temp the fan spins rellatively easily. Maybe about 100 grams of force at the tip of the blades.

Doesnt lose a drop. Ill test the fan today and force it to over heat and see what happens

I just believe in the right tool for the job. An auger bit is far superior and the availability of holesaws seems to be about 60 mm for timber with panel ripping teeth. But then again the hole is hidden anyhow.

Thinking they all come with templates. Get yourself some low tack adhesive spray and stick the template down. Dont use a hole saw. Holesaws dont cut metals well. Your panel has a slight curve which while cutting will cause a section of the circle too cut first. Then any variation in hand held...

Thanks. Ill test the fan. I have looked for the thermostat before, removed the housing where i thought it should be and there was nothing there. Im up over 200 000 kms so ill replace the water pump as a precaution.

So its an odd one. Basically if i go 100 km/h +. I over heat so turning the heater on brings it back to normal. It will never overheat in trafic with the aircon on even with a banket blocking the front grill. Highway hills seem to trigger it. If i take em at 80. No probs. Any ideas. Thanks ?
